Todd Haynes: Charlotte Gainsbourg made me consider switching teams

He's one of the world's leading queer filmmakers, but Todd Haynes says that directing French star Charlotte Gainsbourg made him question his sexuality. Rush & Molloy report that at a recent screening of I'm Not There in New York City, Haynes noted, "When she came on the set, I never wanted to be straight more in my life."

Gainsbourg is terrific in the movie, incidentally -- and if anyone ever planned on making a movie about Patti Smith, Gainsbourg would be just perfect for that right now.
