Broadway strike ends; WGA's continues
Stagehands ended their strike that left most of Broadway dark for almost three weeks. The New York Times reports that representatives from the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and League of American Theaters and Producers wrapped up talks at 10:45p.m. EST Wednesday night, with LATP executive director Charlotte Martin announcing, "Performances begin tomorrow night." Some shows may need more than a day's prep time to get back up and running.
Still on strike are members of the Writers Guild of America, although rumors abound that both sides in that conflict may reach a settlement before Christmas. And if they don't -- well, let's just say that MILF Island may become more than just a 30 Rock joke.
